In the contest between laptop and PCs, an open and shut case (This LA Times story ends with a quote from LTV Mom, but the star is my best friend Vicki and her baby Danielle.)

Holiday madness, lots-o-work, and the hubby turns 40. (Little time to blog.) Here are the headlines grabbing my attention:

‘The Office’, ‘Dexter’ up for WGA Awards (The Office is pure genius, laugh-out-loud funny; those writers get my vote.)
Filmmakers take risks for ‘Kite Runner’ (I am seeing a sneak-peek tomorrow night, blog review to come! I loved the book, so expectations are high.)
Fifty years on, Chipmunks squeak on to big screen (My three-year-old will be my excuse to see this movie re-make. Plus, who doesn’t love Jason Lee?)
FAQs about writers strike (Interesting to follow…)
Poststrike TV: Reality Shows, Game Shows, Reruns (I am watching Project Runway as I type.)
Maria Menounos to host "Clash of the Choirs" reality series (I am so excited for this show. I love gospel and choir music, so this will be a great show for the holiday season!)

I am finally winding down from Thanksgiving madness and back-to-work blues. Here are some headlines catching my eye and making me thankful I don’t live in Hollywood:

Tornado hits "Desperate Housewives (Okay, I’ve seen the previews for this show, and it looks terrible. But, being the DH loyalist I am, I will fire-up the TiVo and watch-away. Let’s hope I am wrong!)
Pregnant Aguilera poses for Marie Claire (I think she looks absolutely beautiful and radiant!)
"Tin Man" a bizarre update of "Wizard of Oz" (The original "Wizard" is now my daughter’s favorite movie, but I think I will skip this version. If you really want to see a remake, rent The Wiz.)
Conan Keeping Late Night $hip Afloat (I heart Conan, and I really miss my night-time men: Jon, Jay and Conan. It’s worth noting that I’ve actually been *reading* before I go to bed… what a concept!)
Dancing’s Final Lap Goes to Helio (I wouldn’t call myself an uber-fan of the Spice Girls, but Mel B. was robbed!)
NBC Applying "Lipstick" in "ER" Space (Wow, first drama to bump ER since 1994!)
